It's funny, I just commented on this type of book yesterday on Facebook.
I did like this story, BUT, this is supposed to be a COZY!!! What is a cozy? A cozy is an amateur sleuth, humor, clean language and situations, and zany side characters. With maybe slow burn romance.
What was this story, Nine to ten of the 12 chapters are the romantic interest waking up from a coma, no memory, plans to marry his ex evil fiance, fighting with his ex fiance, who put him in the hospital to start with, Fighting demons, and cleansing a home of evil spirits. Dark thoughts, dark actions, and desperate to keep anything that resembled the past just to keep your sanity.
Ending a book with a possible happy-ever-after in the last three chapters,or even an actual one DOES NOT make a story a cozy.
having said that, this was a decent mystery with lots of suspense and drama. Well defined characters, and a solid plot line.
Its the third book and it ends making you want move. Does Lenny and Nate get married or is there move murder in their future.

Liked the characters . Witches everywhere. I didn't really the ending. Way too short. Quick read but missing something. Worth the read anyway. Loved the cat jas.
I absolutely love these characters and always enjoy catching up with them. The story is a wonderful quick read that picks up with Nate in a Coma. Lenny has a lot on her plate, but I love her strength. I won't give away anything else. I highly recommend this book (and series!)
What do you do when the person you love is fighting for their life and as a witch, you can’t help them? Lenny was tied in knots trying to solve that conundrum. Her beloved Nate (Nathan) Carter was suffering from amnesia due to a coma. Would she get her beloved back? Well not if his ex-Irene had anything to do with it.
My first read by this author and this as a fun fast paced book. Lots of twists and turns. I will read more from this series!
This review is for both Brewing Trouble and Brewing Boys. Neither book was satisfying as a standalone, although they might have been better as one novel.
As continuations of "Brewing Love" the plotline(s) here revolve around the theme of Girl meets girl -- they immediately become BFFs. Girl solves murder. Boy (true love) is stalked and injured by ex-girlfriend. End of 2nd book. Third book (essentially a short story, wrap-up of 2nd book) Ex-girlfriend causes boy to have complete amnesia; girl spends entire story getting rid of ex-girlfriend and attempting to restore boyfriend's memory. The end.
