Life respects nothing… including fame.

Riley has finally relented to Ethan’s subtle pushing and agreed to a friends with benefits relationship. It would seem the best answer for both of their desires, but life quickly butts in. With her mother having suffered a horrible accident, Riley has to head back to L.A. to deal with the aftermath.

Ethan works with Frank and Deza to continue filming, but things aren’t the same without Riley. He quickly realizes that the pretty young actress has slipped under his skin. He wants more than a professional relationship and the occasional romp in the sheets, but he’s the great Ethan Lewis. If he’s not single and teasing women with the hope that they might end up his in the end… is he still marketable?

As things settle back down, Deza decides to bring in someone to help Riley get up to speed, but unexpectedly, it’s not a female, but Ethan’s greatest nemesis. Riley needed a mentor to study under, but never in a million years would Ethan have dreamed it would be Clayton Welms.

Simple enough – Deza must hate him.

This is book 3 in a continued series. All books are available.

Understudy is the third book in the series, and I have to admit this has been my favorite of the series so far. The main characters, Ethan and Riley, continue to be developed and you see their personalities evolving as the story progresses. Ethan goes from a self-absorbed star to being a caring human being and wanting to do right by people. Riley is growing up and dealing with her issues of abandonment and wanting more for herself than causal relationships. They both want each other, but they need to get through the negativity and stigma of coworkers being together and having it possibly ruining their careers.

Riley is dealing with another personal tragedy, and she is assessing who and what she wants in her life. She wants Ethan, but he has not reached out to her. Ethan continues his self-destructive ways, but after he ends up being drugged and left nude in a janitor's closet by one of the hookups his brother, Liam, has made for him he says no more. He decides it is Riley or no one. Ethan finally gets Riley to go out on a date with him, and they plan to spend the night together at Liam's house. But once again...something interferes, Deza calls.

Can't wait for the last book in the series to come out. Weeping because I have to wait until late September to find out how the story goes.

Ali, great job!

Understudy Bright Lights Billionaire Book 3 edition by Ali Parker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This was a great one
Holy shizwits! That ending!!! Omg!!! They just can't catch a break!!!
This is the third book in the "Bright Lights Billionaire" series and I have to say that Ali Parker knows how to write a story with characters that just suck you into their story and keeps you totally engaged until the very end!
Book 3 as expected was, in true Ali Parker fashion, emotional, frustrating, and just so worth the read. This book leaves you anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!
Every time Riley and Ethan almost move forward one of them gets knocked back again by this tricky little thing called life. Please read this series, I promise you will fall in love with Riley and Ethan and definitely with the author herself, Ali Parker.
I love this series! I could hardly wait for this installment and now I'm desperately waiting for the next! I love the relationship Ethan and Deza have! For some reason I also love Jace's character and have hopes for him! I love witnessing the two navigate through their life and relationship! Ali continues to belt out the plots-though this one is somewhat cliché as we talk about Hollywood and celebrities.. It still SO SO GOOD!
Riley buries her mother and gets through the school play. Ethan films more scenes and helps Trisha with scenes for her movie. Ethan agrees to meet his brother and two girls at a club. He gets drugged by one of the girls and ends up nude in the broom closet. Liam finds him before anyone takes pictures and thinks it's funny that it happened. Riley asks for an acting coach and it's Ethan's rival. Riley finally agrees to spend the night with Ethan at Liam's house. Will they get together or will the call from Deza change things.
I have been trying to figure out how to write a review for this book. Not in a bad way, in a good way! It's hard to write an amazing review for another amazing book, when these books just keep getting better! I have yet to be disappointed in one of Ali's books and this one was...you need to start this series! Emotional, frustrated, making sure warranty is still covered...for me anyways, as I yell at my eReader. This is the third book in the series and it picks up where Center Stage left off. Riley dealing with another tragedy and Ethan dealing with whether to call her for comfort. These two really need to catch a break! Both of them, instead of going to each other for the comfort they want, turn to others. Sigh. While Riley is working of graduating UCLA, she asks Deza for help with movie, and Deza gets her an understudy. Why did Deza pick Ethan's nemesis? I loved that Ian & Cole from Forgotten Bodyguard were in this book. When things seem to look positive, life tests Ethan again. Can everybody carry the weight of the outcome?
